Today, Tuesday, a scheduled emergency exercise will take place at Berlin Brandenburg Willy Brandt Airport. The exercise is being conducted with the participation of the airport company, the Federal Police and the district of Dahme-Spreewald and is taking place in the airport's security area.
Please note that publicly accessible areas will not be affected and there are no restrictions on flight operations.
The exercise is a so-called “full-scale exercise” in accordance with the guidelines of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO). Such exercises are mandatory every two years.
