Where does large and bulky baggage go?

Examples of large and bulky baggage include items of luggage such as skis and snowboards, which by their very nature or size cannot be sorted automatically by the baggage conveyor system. Please check what you need to know about dimensions, weight, registration requirements and carriage fees with your airline well ahead of your departure. You will find the drop-off point for large and bulky baggage close to the check-in desk in Terminal 1.

Special baggage also includes wheelchairs, golf bags, surfboards, bicycles, parasols, diving equipment/diving backpacks, and animals registered for carriage in transport boxes.

Groß- und Sperrgepäck

You must also check in your own pushchairs and buggies if they exceed a height of 25 cm when folded. A limited number of loan buggies are available from the airport information desk in Terminal 1, although demand for these is high.
