BER is getting a new long-haul connection to North America. From 20 June 2025 until the end of the 2025 summer flight schedule the Canadian airline Air Transat will be flying non-stop from the capital region to Toronto in Canada. The new long-haul destination will be served twice a week (every Friday and Monday) from BER. At Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ), Air Transat offers passengers connecting flights to other destinations in Canada, including Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary, through a codeshare agreement with Porter Airlines.

Air Transat will operate the route using modern Airbus A321LR aircraft with seating for 199 passengers, including 12 seats in Club Class (Premium Economy) and 187 seats in Economy Class. The flight time from BER to Toronto is 8 hours and 50 minutes, and one hour less in the opposite direction. Flights are available now.
