New direct route to Algeria

Air Algérie now offers flights between Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) and Algiers, the capital of Algeria. The country's national airline operates this route once a week. This means that a direct connection between Algiers and the capital region has been established for the first time since 2014. The new direct service will strengthen links with Algeria and, above all, offer additional travel options for passengers with family, cultural or business ties to the country. The route to BER will be operated using Boeing 737 aircraft, which can accommodate up to 186 passengers.
 

The flight schedule in detail

According to the summer timetable, the route is scheduled to depart from BER every Monday. It departs at 19:00, arriving at Algiers Airport at 21:05 local time. In the opposite direction, the aircraft takes off from Algiers at 14:00, landing at BER at 18:00. The flight time is approximately three hours. During the summer, Algeria is one hour behind Germany as it does not practise daylight saving time.

With the start of the winter flight schedule, Air Algérie will change to operating flights on Sundays. From 1 November, the flight will depart from Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) at 13:55 and arrive in Algiers at 16:35 local time. In the opposite direction, the aircraft will take off from Algiers at 10:15 and land at BER at 12:55. There is no time difference between Germany and Algeria during winter.
