Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) will become even more accessible for many travelers from eastern Germany this year: FlixBus is significantly expanding its service at BER. New direct routes and more frequent service will provide greater flexibility for arrivals and departures. This will benefit not only larger cities such as Leipzig, Jena, and Schwerin, but also small and medium-sized cities as well as regions that have previously had limited connectivity. There is also a wide range of FlixBus services available for travelers from Poland.
Leipzig: FlixBus is expanding its service to up to nine daily trips in each direction, up from four previously. The fastest connections take just over two hours.
Schwerin, Jena, and Chemnitz: Additional trips bring both cities closer to BER.
Görlitz and Zittau: Both cities are now connected to BER.
Erzgebirge: Oberwiesenthal and Annaberg-Buchholz will have a daily direct connection to BER for the first time.
Baltic Sea Coast: In July and August, a new seasonal route will connect BER directly with the vacation destinations of Warnemünde, Bad Doberan, and Kühlungsborn.
Poznań: Travelers from this western Polish city can reach BER via up to 15 daily trips in each direction. The average travel time is 3 hours and 20 minutes.
Wrocław: Up to 13 daily trips in each direction connect Poland’s third-largest city to BER in an average of about four hours.
Szczecin: The major city on the German-Polish border is an average of about 2.5 hours from BER and is served by up to 12 daily trips in each direction.
In 2025, BER ranked among the top ten busiest stops in the German FlixBus network in terms of passenger volume, making it the most popular German airport among FlixBus travelers. During peak season this year, up to 155 buses stop at BER daily. This means that around 90 German and 60 Polish cities are connected directly to BER without the need to transfer.
