Between May and September 2026, United Airlines will operate a Boeing 767-300 with an enhanced premium configuration on the route from BER to Newark, New York. The airline is responding to increased demand for premium travel classes, which offer wider seats, greater comfort and legroom, the ability to convert into a flat bed, and an enhanced range of services. The aircraft features a specially adapted cabin configuration with 46 seats in Business Class (United Polaris). This is around 50 per cent more than with the standard seating layout. The offering is complemented by 22 seats in Premium Economy Class (United Premium Plus).
The route from Berlin Brandenburg Airport to Newark/New York is scheduled daily throughout the year. This strengthens the airline’s connections between the capital region and North America. Via the Newark/New York (EWR) hub, travellers have numerous connection options within North, Central and South America, including Atlanta, Chicago and Miami in the USA, as well as Vancouver in Canada. The change in aircraft type will enhance BER Airport’s high-quality long-haul offering.
