Next summer, Air Canada is launching a new long-haul route to Berlin. Between 3 July and 11 October 2026, the airline will offer non-stop flights between the capital region and Montréal, Canada's second-largest city. Every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, Canada's largest airline will take off from BER bound for Canada. Air Canada offers numerous connecting flights within North America via its hub in Montréal.
The route will be flown by an Airbus A321 XLR (Extra Long Range). This modern, efficient aircraft model will be used at BER for the first time. This aircraft type enables long-haul connections to be operated with great efficiency. The Airbus A321 XLR has 182 seats, 14 of which are in Business Class and 168 in Economy Class. The flight time from BER is 8 hours and 40 minutes, and 1 hour less in the opposite direction.

Montréal, the largest city in the province of Quebec, is one of the most liveable cities in North America. It is also an important economic and cultural centre in Canada. Located largely on the Île de Montréal peninsula, more than three-quarters of the city is surrounded by water. This cosmopolitan, bilingual metropolis's cityscape combines historic and modern architecture. The city is strongly influenced by its French heritage, which is reflected in its diverse, French-inspired culinary scene. Montréal also offers a diverse cultural and nightlife scene, as well as a lively festival culture. Its warm summers and magnificent Indian summers make it an attractive destination for travellers from the capital region and beyond.
Air Canada is Canada's largest airline and flag carrier. It offers flights to six continents, including numerous destinations in North, Central and South America, Europe and Asia. It is a founding member of the Star Alliance and the only international network carrier in North America to receive a 4-star rating from Skytrax. With a fleet of over 400 aircraft, Air Canada has one of the youngest, most efficient, and most environmentally friendly fleets in the world.
