From BER to 150 destinations worldwide

New long-haul route to Canada and more flights to the Mediterranean and the Gulf region

This coming Sunday, 30 March 2025, marks the start of daylight-saving time – and the 2025 summer flight schedule comes into effect at the same time. Travellers can look forward to a range of additional destinations from BER. More than 70 airlines will be flying to 150 destinations in 50 countries this summer. Greece, Spain, France and Turkey are among the top summer holiday destinations. Majorca remains the most popular holiday destination in the capital city region. A new long-haul route to Toronto in Canada will be added in June. In addition, several airlines are expanding their flight offerings to the Gulf region, in particular to Doha and Dubai.

Long-haul flights from BER

North America: From 20 June, Air Transat will be flying twice weekly (Mondays and Fridays) to Toronto in Canada. Via Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ), the airline offers connecting flights to other Canadian destinations such as Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary, as well as to the USA, in a codeshare with Porter Airlines. This summer, there will be a total of 18 flights a week from BER to New York in the USA. In addition to United Airlines' year-round daily service, Delta Air Lines and Norse Atlantic Airways are resuming their services. Delta Air Lines will operate a daily service to JFK Airport in New York from 16 April, followed by Norse Atlantic Airways on 23 May with four weekly flights (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday). Norse Atlantic Airways will continue to fly to Miami until the end of April. This means that Florida on the southern US east coast will remain accessible with three weekly non-stop flights from BER, even during the Easter holidays.

To Asia and the Gulf States: Qatar Airways is increasing the frequency of its flights to Doha by three additional flights per week from 10 July, bringing the total to 21 times a week and three times a day. Condor is continuing its daily service to Dubai in summer 2025. Doha and Dubai offer optimal connections to the Gulf region, Asia, Africa and Australia. flynas will continue to fly three times a week (Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays) to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia until 25 June. Hainan Airlines offers a direct connection to Beijing five times a week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays). From there, the airline offers travellers numerous connecting flights to other destinations within China.

Overview of the summer flight schedule

Condor is significantly expanding its presence at BER in the summer flight schedule. The airline has been flying twice a day to Frankfurt since 2 March. In addition, three popular Greek islands are on the flight schedule: Kos, Rhodes and Crete (Heraklion). Flights to Kos will operate twice a week (Saturdays and Wednesdays) starting on 12 April. The connection to Rhodes starts on 13 April with three flights per week (Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays), and Heraklion on Crete will follow from 2 May with two flights per week (Mondays and Fridays). Together with the connection to Dubai, Condor will fly a total of 28 times per week from BER. Condor will thus double its capacity from BER compared to the winter flight schedule.

Eurowings is introducing direct connections to Bilbao (Spain), Corfu (Greece), Jerez de la Frontera (Spain) and Newcastle (England) in its summer flight schedule. All destinations are scheduled twice weekly from BER. Bilbao will be served on Mondays and Fridays from 11 April, Corfu on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 26 April. Jerez de la Frontera will follow on 29 April with flights on the same days of the week, and Newcastle on 1 May with connections on Thursday and Sunday. In addition, the airline is increasing its frequencies to existing destinations. There will be more frequent flights in future to Malaga in Spain, the Greek islands of Crete (Heraklion), Kos and Rhodes, Graz in Austria, Helsinki in Finland, Nice in France, Split in Croatia, Yerevan in Armenia and Erbil in Iraq. Eurowings will offer up to 21 flights a week from BER to Palma de Mallorca. Eurowings flies from BER to a total of 42 destinations in 22 countries.

easyJet is continuing its service to Liverpool in the summer flight schedule and will fly twice weekly (Mondays and Fridays) to the home of the Beatles. Flights to the Greek islands of Crete, Corfu and Rhodes are being resumed and expanded. Crete (Chania and Heraklion) will be served daily from 30 March, while a connection to Corfu starts on the same day with two weekly flights (Thursdays and Sundays) and will be operated up to six times a week (except Fridays) during the summer peak season. Rhodes will be served three times a week (Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays) from 2 April, with an additional flight on Tuesdays in July and August. Two flights a week will also be operated to Cairo (Wednesdays and Saturdays) and Lyon (Mondays and Fridays) during the summer. Agadir will continue to be served twice weekly (Wednesdays and Sundays) until the end of May.

Aegean Airlines is adding two weekly flights to its service to Athens. From 9 April, the Greek capital will be served twice a day.

Croatia Airlines is already flying to Zagreb and Split this year with the introduction of the summer flight schedule. The Croatian capital is on the flight schedule three times a week (Tuesdays, Fridays, Sundays). The connection to Split will be increased to two connections per week (Wednesdays and Saturdays) from 4 June.

LOT Polish Airlines is improving connectivity between Warsaw and Berlin by adding another frequency, increasing the number of daily flights to three (except Sundays) with the start of the summer schedule. The airline now flies to the Polish capital twenty times a week and is significantly improving connections to many flights from Warsaw.

Pegasus Airlines is increasing its weekly frequencies by two on average and will fly three times a day to Istanbul (SAW) throughout the summer flight schedule.

Royal Jordanian continues to fly to Amman, the capital of Jordan, and is adding an additional weekly frequency to the connection. The national airline of Jordan will take off from BER on Wednesdays, Saturdays and additionally on Mondays from 19 May.

SunExpress is expanding its range of destinations in Turkey with the summer flight schedule and will fly to Antalya with up to 32 weekly departures, as well as more frequently to Ankara, Gaziantep and Samsun. In addition, the route to Dalaman will be increased to three flights per week (Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays).

Turkish Airlines will be flying up to six times a day to Istanbul during the summer (previously a maximum of five times a day) and will continue to use wide-bodied aircraft three times a day.

Spanish Barcelona will be even more accessible during the summer. Vueling Airlines is increasing its flights to the city on the Mediterranean coast by two to three flights a week, so that Vueling Airlines will be flying there twenty times a week.
