Pearl of the Black Sea

Dobre doshli, Bulgaria! Off to Burgas, the coastal town on the bay of the same name on the Black Sea! What can you do here? How about relaxing on the beach and taking a dip?  Central Beach, one of the city's most popular beaches with fine, golden sand and crystal-clear water, is the perfect place for this. Right next to it, you can stroll through the sea garden. The extensive park is a green oasis with playgrounds, cafés and an open-air theatre. Burgas also offers a variety of museums, including the Archaeological Museum with insights into the ancient history of the region.

If you are out and about in the city centre, you should definitely visit the Cyril and Methodius Church, which is dedicated to the inventors of the Cyrillic alphabet. At the gates of the city lies Lake Atanasovsko, a lagoon between sea and land, which is ideal for birdwatching and therapeutic mud bathing. In the evening, don't miss the spectacular sunset from the pier.
