With the help of the wind alone, the three square discs made of stainless steel can move. The work by sculptor Hein Sinkens stood for many years on the terrace of the restaurant in the former Tegel Airport and now has a place on the observation deck of BER. With Sinken, contradictions become one, massiveness and effortless, floating lightness meet. Not unlike flying.
The artist: Hein Sinken (1914-1987) worked as a sculptor in Berlin and created more than 50 objects in public space.
