Your contact for customs matters

The customs administration checks the cross-border movement of goods at the airport and collects customs duties and taxes. Travelers residing outside the EU are entitled to a refund of the VAT paid on purchases in Germany before they return home. To do this, the purchases (goods), invoices and travel documents must be presented to customs and confirmed.
