Regional & Local Transport (Train, S-Bahn, Public Transport)

Since the latest timetable change in rail services, Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) has become even more accessible from Berlin’s city centre. The Airport Express (FEX) and the RE20 operate up to five times per hour, reaching BER in approximately 23 minutes from Berlin Central Station and around 14 minutes from Berlin Südkreuz.
Eastern parts of Berlin are connected to BER via the regional train lines RB24 and RB32, serving stations such as Hohenschönhausen, Lichtenberg and Ostkreuz. Two S-Bahn lines complement the rail services: the S9 continues to operate directly to Spandau without the need to change trains, while the S85 connects north-eastern Berlin with BER, running to Frohnau on weekdays and to Pankow at weekends.
