S-Bahn services

In November, there will be restrictions on travel to and from the city by S-Bahn, particularly during the early morning and late evening hours and at night. More significant restrictions are to be expected, particularly in the second half of the month:

  • 13 November, 9.45 pm, until 16 November 2026, 1.30 am: No S-Bahn services will run between Schöneweide and Treptower Park. Please use the FEX or regional trains as an alternative.

  • 27 November, 9.30 pm, until 30 November 2026, 1.30 am: Lines S9 and S85 will only run between BER Airport and Altglienicke station. A rail replacement service (SEV) will be provided between Grünbergallee station and Baumschulenweg station, serving all stations along the route. In addition, an express rail replacement service will run between BER Airport and S Baumschulenweg, stopping at S Adlershof and S Schöneweide.

Before travelling, check the VBB website for the best connection to and from BER Airport.

FEX and regional trains

  • RB22 / RB32: Until mid-October, RB22 and RB32 services will be subject to partial cancellations during off-peak periods and diversions.
  • FEX / RE20: Until December 2026, both lines will jointly operate at a frequency of four services per hour.
  • Berlin Stadtbahn: Due to extensive maintenance work, the Berlin Stadtbahn line between Charlottenburg and Ostbahnhof will be completely closed to regional and long-distance trains from 14 June until 12 December 2026.
