From BER to Florence

Volotea is now operating non-stop flights from Berlin Brandenburg Airport to Florence in Italy. The city is a popular destination in Tuscany and is now served by BER for the first time. The Spanish low-cost airline’s aircraft take off from BER for central Italy up to twice a week. Flights operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The route is operated using Airbus A319 aircraft, which can accommodate 156 passengers. The flight time from BER to Florence is just under two hours. This new route expands the range of options for travellers from Berlin and Brandenburg to include an attractive and popular destination in Italy.

Florence

Art, culture and the Italian way of life make Florence an attractive destination for a city break. The capital of Tuscany is regarded as the cradle of the Renaissance and, with its historic centre, impressive architecture and numerous art treasures, is a special and popular destination. Many of the sights are close together, making Florence ideal for exploring on foot. Thanks to the Mediterranean climate, it’s worth visiting all year round, though the mild temperatures in spring and autumn are particularly pleasant.

The airline’s flight schedule is optimised for these travel periods. Volotea will therefore be flying to Florence this autumn in September and October, over the Christmas period until early January, and from the end of March when the summer timetable begins.
