Discover Eastern Europe with Wizz Air

Wizz Air is offering tourists and business travellers in the capital region a new attractive flight connection from BER to Bucharest. The distinctive aircraft with their purple and pink livery will fly to the Romanian capital up to five times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. In some weeks in December and January, an additional flight will be offered on Wednesdays. The flights will be operated with modern A321neo aircraft. The flight time is two hours and ten minutes. Bucharest is an attractive destination, as the city offers a lively mix of historic architecture, a modern economic centre and a diverse cultural scene.

 

More flights to Varna, Chişinău and Tirana

In addition, the Hungarian airline is increasing flight frequencies on several routes and significantly expanding its flight offerings in the 2025/2026 winter schedule.

  • The airline will fly to Varna, Bulgaria, the port city on the Black Sea, four times a week this winter. Flight days are Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
  • Chişinău, the capital of Moldova, will now be included in the flight schedule four times a week, and from 16 December onwards, five times a week. Flights are planned for Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
  • The Hungarian airline will connect BER with Tirana, the capital of Albania, six to seven times a week.
     

Outlook for the summer flight schedule

The expansion of flight services will continue in the upcoming summer flight schedule. Wizz Air has already announced two new destinations. Starting on 16 March 2026, Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, will be offered four times a week. Starting on 30 March, Tuzla in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be included in the flight schedule from BER three times a week.
