Happy anniversary, Azal! Azerbaijan Airlines, Azerbaijan's national airline, is celebrating its 10th anniversary in the capital region. On 2 May 2015, the airline landed at what was then Berlin-Tegel Airport for the first time. Since then, it has been connecting Berlin and Brandenburg with Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. Around 150,000 passengers have flown the route since then. Currently, the route is scheduled three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, from BER.
Baku's location on the Caspian Sea makes it an exciting destination, offering a blend of tradition and modernity, and it remains a hidden gem for travellers seeking an off-the-beaten-track experience.
