Tunis – culture and history on the Mediterranean coast

The Tunisian capital Tunis captivates visitors with an interesting contrast of tradition, Orient and modernity. The city in the north of the country looks back on almost 3,000 years of history. Modern boulevards and shopping streets alternate with gems from antiquity. Highlights of the oriental city, which is not far from the Mediterranean, include the central market and the Bardo Museum. The Medina with its winding alleyways and the impressive Ez-Zitouna Mosque is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Adana – enjoyment and history in southern Turkey

Adana in southern Turkey attracts visitors with its rich culinary tradition, such as the famous Adana Kebap. Turkey’s fifth largest city is located in the centre of the scenic Taurus Mountains region. The south-east Anatolian metropolis delights visitors with its range of mosques and museums. Old buildings and narrow alleyways are just as present as modern tower blocks. Situated on the banks of the Seyhan River, Adana combines an oriental atmosphere with dynamic city life.

On the left, autumn-coloured trees and, behind the bridge, a large white mosque with six slimline, towering minarets frame the scene. The mosque and the trees are picturesquely reflected in the clear water. The sky is bright blue, and the sun lights up the scene.
