Travelling to China is becoming much easier because the country has significantly simplified its entry requirements. Effective immediately, people with German, French, Italian, Dutch, Spanish and Malaysian passports can enter the People’s Republic without a visa for a maximum stay of 15 days. The new regulation is interesting for tourists, business travellers, family visits, and even for transit, and is intended to boost travel to China.
Hainan Airlines regularly connects BER with Beijing. There are three flights per week in the 2023/2024 winter timetable. The airline takes off for the Chinese capital with an Airbus A330-300 every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 12:55 pm. Arrival in China is at 4:55 am the following day. The flight time is around nine-and-a-half hours. The flight in the opposite direction takes off at 3:00 am and arrives at BER at 6:40 am. Economy and Business classes with modern, completely-flat seats and excellent on-board catering are offered. The airline plans to fly to China five times a week in the 2024 summer schedule.
The new regulation will initially apply for one year up to 30 November 2024. The requirement is a passport valid for six months.
