Twice a week to Strasbourg

Off to Alsace: the airline Volotea is expanding its services in the capital region with a new direct connection from BER to Strasbourg in France. The Spanish airline now flies twice a week to Aéroport de Strasbourg every Monday and Thursday using an Airbus A320. Strasbourg is Volotea’s third new destination at BER this year following Verona in northern Italy and the French metropolis of Lyon.

The flight time from BER to Strasbourg is one hour and 30 minutes. Every Monday, the flight takes off from BER at 11.00 am and lands in Strasbourg at 12.30 pm. On Thursday, departure from BER is at 7.15 pm, arriving in the French city at 8.45 pm. The return flights from Strasbourg are scheduled by Volotea on Mondays at 8.55 am and Thursdays at 5.05 pm.

Strasbourg is located in the centre of Alsace, a region in the north-east of France. The idyllic town is best known for its historic town centre with its well-preserved half-timbered houses, narrow streets and pretty bridges. The picturesque old town island “Grande Ile” is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There’s plenty of Christmas spirit to be had at France's oldest Christmas market, which opens on 24 November; the old town is festively decorated and ablaze with lights. Strasbourg is a modern, international metropolis where EU institutions, such as the Council of Europe and the European Court of Human Rights, are based.
