Wide sandy beaches, sunny winters, Caribbean joie de vivre: welcome to Miami, the glittering US metropolis at the southern tip of the Sunshine State Florida. Located on the Atlantic Ocean, Miami combined with Miami Beach offers a wonderful blend of shopping, beach life, glamour and sightseeing. There’s plenty to see and do around the clock on the legendary Ocean Drive boulevard with its pretty Art Deco-style houses. Swimming and water sports are a lot of fun on the kilometre-long South Beach. Other highlights include the skyscrapers in Downtown Miami, the artists’ district Wynwood, the Bayside Marketplace shopping centre, the Vizcaya Museum and the curious Coral Castle sculpture park. Just outside Miami is the Everglades National Park, a huge swamp area that you can explore by boat and watch alligators.
