Egypt is now even better connected to region. The airline Air Cairo is starting a new route to Marsa Alam on 30 March 2023. The Egyptian holiday resort on the Red Sea will be served once a week from BER. The direct connection is always offered on Thursdays from Terminal 1. The Egyptian airline Air Cairo also continues to connect BER with Hurghada. Flights can be booked via SunExpress.
Marsa Alam charms visitors with its beautiful Red Sea coastline, white sandy beaches and an exotic underwater world. The holiday resort in the south of Egypt boasts warm weather all year round and, therefore, the best conditions for a beach holiday. Marsa Alam is a real paradise for diving and snorkelling with its magnificent coral reefs, colourful schools of fish and clear seawater.
Ancient Egyptian history can be discovered on excursions to Luxor, the Valley of the Kings and Aswan. The Wadi el Gemal National Park south of Marsa Alam offers a diverse natural habitat that is home to animals such as gazelles, ibex and camels. A drive through the mountains and valleys in the desert around the coastal town provides an insight into the life of the local Bedouins.
