All–genders toilets

Diversity and inclusion are important values at Berlin Brandenburg Airport. Every day, we welcome people with different backgrounds, life experiences and needs. We are committed to treating everyone with respect and creating an environment in which all passengers feel welcome.

To support this commitment, we provide gender-neutral toilets in the check-in hall of Terminal 1. These facilities are open to everyone, regardless of sex, gender identity or gender expression, and offer an additional option for a comfortable and self-determined airport experience.

Due to the current structural and operational conditions, we are unfortunately only able to offer gender-neutral toilets in this location at present. Nevertheless, this provision reflects our commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful environment for all passengers. At the same time, we continue to explore opportunities to expand these facilities in the future.

For the same reasons, all toilet facilities designated as men's toilets have been equipped with sanitary disposal bins in the individual cubicles.
