Access to security control 1 for families with small children

Our aim is to make travelling as relaxed and hassle-free as possible for families. The Family Lane offers families with young children a separate access route to security screening.

  • This service is available to travellers with children up to the age of 5, regardless of whether they are travelling with or without a pushchair. They may be accompanied by up to two adults and any younger siblings.
  • The BER Family Lane is located in security control area 2 of Terminal 1. This area is currently still equipped with conventional security screening technology. You can find out exactly what this means here.

Travelling with children

Basically, you can use any security control in T1 or T2. All departure gates are accessible from each security control. You will find information on waiting times on the website, in the app and on the monitors.
