Information about the terminals

A terminal is a special area in the airport.

A terminal has, for example:

  • Check-in desks
  • Security checks
  • Passport checks
  •  

Terminals at Berlin Brandenburg Airport

Berlin Brandenburg Airport has 3 terminals.

The terminals are called:

  • T1
  • T2
  • T5

The letter T stands for terminal.

 

Terminals 1 and 2 are next to each other.

Terminals 1 and 2 are easy to reach on foot.

 

Terminal 5 was Berlin-Schönefeld Airport.

Terminal 5 is now part of Berlin Brandenburg Airport.

You cannot walk to Terminal 5.

You must travel by bus or train.

Important information

  • Find out which terminal you are
    flying from before you go
    to the airport.
    You can find this information for example
    on the website of your airline.
  • Plan enough time.
    It is best to be at the terminal 2 hours before departure.

How to get to Berlin Brandenburg Airport

It is easy to get to Berlin Brandenburg Airport.

By train

It is easy to get to the airport by train.

For example, you can take a train from the main station

of Berlin (Hauptbahnhof).

 

Are you flying from Terminal 1 or Terminal 2?

Then take the train to the airport station.

The station is called: Airport BER – Terminal 1–2.

 

Are you flying from Terminal 5?

Then take the train to the station: Airport

BER – Terminal 1-2.

Then take S-Bahn line S9 or S45.

Get off at the station:

Airport BER – Terminal 5.

The S-Bahn trains run every 20 minutes.

By car

Are you flying from Terminal 1 or Terminal 2?

Then take the A 113 motorway.

Take exit 8.

The exit is called: Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg.

Follow the signs to Terminals 1 and 2.

 

Are you flying from Terminal 5?

Then take exit 7.

The exit is called: Schönefeld-Süd.

Follow the signs to Terminal 5.

By S-Bahn

It is easy to get to the airport by S-Bahn.

The S-Bahn trains run every 20 minutes.

 

Are you flying from Terminal 1 or Terminal 2?

Then take line S9 or line S45.

Get off at the station: Airport BER - Terminal 1–2.

 

Are you flying from Terminal 5?

Then take line S9 or line S45.

Get off at the station: Airport BER – Terminal 5.

Parking at Berlin Brandenburg Airport

Berlin Brandenburg Airport has

many multi-storey car parks

and other car parks.

Accessible parking is provided in car park P56.

Accessible means: Barrier-free.

For example, there are no obstacles

for people in wheelchairs.

 

Are you flying from Terminal 1 or Terminal 2?

Then it is best to park

in the multi-storey car parks:

  • P1
  • P3
  • P7
  • P8

The walk is not far.

 

You can also park in car park P6.

The walk is about 10 minutes.

 

Are you flying from Terminal 5?

Then it is best to park:

  • In car parks P51 or P52
  • In multi-storey car park P54

The walk is not far.

Important information

  • Car park P52 is for short-term parking.
    This means:
    No parking for longer than 5 minutes.
  • Charging points for electric cars are available in car parks:
    • P3
    • P8
    • P54

How to leave the airport

You have several options to leave the airport.

By S-Bahn

Take line S9 or line S45. 

The S-Bahn trains run every 20 minutes.

By train

Take a direct train to the main train

station (Hauptbahnhof) of Berlin

from the airport station.

The airport station is in Terminal 1.

It is on level U2.

 

Important:

There is no direct train from Terminal 5.

Take the S-Bahn S9 or S45.

By taxi

Taxis are always available at the airport.

Taxi stands are in:

  • Terminal 1 on level E0
  • Terminal 5 in front of area L

By rental car

You can rent cars at:

  • Terminal 1 on level E0
  • Terminal 5 in area L

By car sharing

Car sharing spaces are in car park P56.

Car park P56 is at Terminal 5.
