The 2nd National Air Transport Conference took place today at BER. At the invitation of Federal Minister of Transport Andreas Scheuer, Federal Minister of Economics Peter Altmaier and Brandenburg's Minister President Dietmar Woidke, representatives from politics, associations, business and trade unions discussed the future challenges facing the aviation industry. With a view to the now imminent return of air traffic, all participants agreed: In order to emerge successfully and sustainably from the crisis, the important technological issues of the future, such as climate and environmental protection and international competitiveness, must be brought into focus in good time. Airport CEO Engelbert Lütke Daldrup concluded: "We want to show together that aviation can achieve sustainability. Today's 2nd National Aviation Conference was an important step on this path."
