It's been a year since Air France took off from Berlin-Tegel for the last time on November 8, 2020. Flight AF 1235 ended the era of civil aviation at Berlin-Tegel, which also began there in 1960 with an Air France flight. It was a very emotional experience for all those involved with the farewell flight and we extend our gratitude to Air France, which has been loyal to Tegel for 60 years and has kept the capital continuously connected with Paris, the metropolis on the Seine.
Air France flies direct to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) up to five times a day, from where Air France passengers can take advantage from a cast array of global flight connections. On October 31, 2021, a route to Paris-Orly Airport (ORY) was also added to the flight plan. The additional route now operates up to twice a day to Orly, from where French domestic and holiday destinations are well serviced by Air France.
Renewal of Air France's fleet focuses on sustainability and greater efficiency in flying. For this reason, the airline is putting its faith in the new A220 Airbus family. The new type of aircraft was first used in scheduled operations on October 31 on the Paris CDG route to BER and has since been used up to twice a day on the route.
