Restrictions when travelling to / from the airport by train

There will be restrictions when travelling to and from the airport by train due to numerous construction projects.

Intercity trains

The InterCity between Rostock and Dresden via BER will only be running between BER T1-2 and Rostock until November 2023. Passengers travelling to Dresden/Chemnitz during this time must use public transport to Südkreuz station and use services from there.

Regional trains

  • The RB24 south between BER T1-2 and Wünsdorf-Waldstadt will also be replaced by a rail replacement service (SEV) until 10 November 2023. This will be running between Wünsdorf-Waldstadt and Waßmannsdorf suburban railway station.
  • In the period from June 09 to July 01, 2023, there will be adjustments to the FEX timetable in the off-peak hours, most of which will only start from Berlin-Lichtenberg in the direction of BER.
  • The RB23 will be partially shortened from Charlottenburg or Ostbahnhof due to construction work. From June 10 to July 01, 2023, the RB23 will be cancelled all day.
  • The RE8 between Wünsdorf-Waldstadt and BER T1-2 is also cancelled until November 2023. A rail replacement service will be used on the route.
