With the opening of the train station, the BER will be connected to the railway network. The good connection to the public transport network will enable an uncomplicated, fast and environmentally friendly arrival and departure. The station is located directly below T1 on level U2.

Regular S-Bahn services will start on 26th October. Initially, the S9 will run during peak traffic hours until 28th October, with both airport S-Bahn trains, S9 and S45, running at full capacity on 29th October. BER Terminal 1 will open on the evening of 31.10.2020. Until then, travellers can reach the level U1 from the station and leave the terminal again.
