Within walking distance of the terminal, Dietz Airport Hotels Grundbesitz GmbH is building a six-storey hotel with around 14,000 square metres of gross floor area. The 3-star hotel will consist of over 357 rooms, a large spa area and 450 square meters of conference space, as well as a restaurant with bistro lounge. The completion and commission of the hotel is scheduled for spring 2022.
At the same time as the opening of the new airport in October, the go-ahead for real estate marketing was given. The next step is to start marketing the first construction sites in the Midfield Garden district to the east. A mixed-use, urban premium quarter is being created on around 24 hectares in a prime location and within walking distance of the passenger terminal. The quarter offers space for a variety of uses. The focus of development is on office, hotel and congress use as well as airport-related services.
