United Airlines has been flying from BER to the USA since March 2022 and is once again connecting the capital region regularly with Newark/New York. The metropolis on the East Coast is on the airline's daily flight schedule all year round. The connection is flown with a Boeing 767.
The non-stop connection to New York/Newark has been an integral part of the flight offer from Berlin since 2005. Initially, the long-haul route was served by Continental Airlines from Berlin-Tegel, then flown by United since 2010 as a result of the fusion of the two airlines. In 2020, the connection was discontinued due to the Corona pandemic and has been operated again since March 2022.
The US airline is a founding member of the Star Alliance™ and is one of the largest airlines in the world. The airline, which has been in existence since 1926, currently has more than 700 aircraft in its fleet, which flies to more than 210 destinations in the USA and 120 destinations worldwide. Passengers have access to attractive connecting destinations via the Newark hub served from BER. Four different ticket categories can be booked on flights from BER. Lunch, snacks, drinks and in-flight entertainment are also included in Economy Class. Modern air filter systems, mandatory masks and careful cleaning schedules guarantee a safe and pleasant travel experience.
